Are we crazy?

Yup - a little, for starting a home-based bagel business. When we moved to Port Orchard seven years ago we noticed there was a dire need for some homemade baked goodness! Space Bagels has been delivering NY Style bagels to Kitsap & Pierce County since 2019!

Chef Jess Lessard / Owner & Baker

Weekends used to mean fresh bagels and cold cuts. You can expect nothing less when you grow up with a mom from Long Island, NY and a dad from Philly, and a cohort of East coast relatives on the West coast. After spending the last five years as a freelance food photographer and recipe developer, Jess challenged herself to perfect her favorite childhood food: classic New York style bagels. Inspired by the Space Needle in Seattle, and her daughter's nickname ("Space Baby"), Space Bagels was born.

Spice Master Chad Lessard

When he isn't busy configuring high tech chemistry devices or paddling and biking around Puget sound, Chad is there to whip up awesome spice combos to make the recipes for Space Bagels divine.
